Ebi's new eyes

Ebi's Winged Ears

This is just the 'bones' of the ear. I will be covering it in feathers soon. This is Staedtler Fimo soft modeling clay. I prefer the softer kind because it's easier to knead. I wrapped his head in plastic to avoid direct contact to his head for now (as this stuff started breaking off while I sized it around his ears). Always make sure that before you put it into the oven you stretch this shape out a little bit as it shrinks.

Now that it's dry I'm going to be adhering feathers to it. This is pretty light but it may need something to stick to his head.


I got his new glass eyes in the mail recently and I want to show those off!

Ebi's New Eyes

Showing off a little of his costume I made... he's supposed to be aligned with the element of wind so I tried to think of something simple to sew that showed it. This idea will probably be scrapped.

And since Xeph gets his own color too and has recently gotten a white pair of leather pants AND I managed to get blond eyelashes in his head... you can sort of see his eyelashes here. Just barely though. It's hard to catch them when they're so light.

Dexter wanted in on the pictures so he posed like this for a good few minutes waiting for me to turn around.
He cracks me up sometimes.

Doodles today

Yesterday I had nothing else to do at work but doodle on most accounts so I found myself diving into DC's Fables and drawing up a storm. I thought I'd share some...

This is my favorite character, Bigby Wolf who is much like Wolverine but a little more tender. He's the Big Bad Wolf from old fairy tales.
I drew all of this in pen since I wanted to get that ruff draft look. I like how ball pointed pens glide across the paper. So smooth!

So I've been drawing a bit lately since it's not rude to draw while people read their personal stories during my writing group.
I'm working on an artbook. Now I know that only popular and more talented artists showcase and sell artbooks and I remember the last time I asked for anyone who was interested I didn't get much of a turnout... I then believed that my artwork was probably not something people enjoyed.
I have gone to several conventions to showcase and sell artwork. I do enjoy the table duties. I enjoy meeting new people and it has really helped me in terms of business skills as well as meeting other enthusiasts as I usually only draw what I'm a fan of at the time. (some fanart has been a long time fandom for me like those dreaded final fantasy series... only my favorite is the lesser favorite FFIV) Anyway, I digress...

The purpose of this blog is to show what I'm artistically up to these days as I take a breather from Deviantart and trying to de-drug myself from posting artwork there as I know I no longer get comments or favorites over there, I really need to stop looking for messages. It's like a twitter sickness and peeling through loads of comments no one really cares about 5 seconds later. I can be such a troll sometimes.

So I recently saved up to get my comic character as a doll. Really he promotes not only more drawing ideas but crafty creations all together.
I'm going to share a good chunk of pictures with you (not full body ones yet as I'm waiting for the snow to disappear from outside... I live in a basement and it's too dark for most photots)

I need to save up for lighter green glass eyes and I want to fix up his face up a little. He is lovely but I want him to smile. Right here he's stolen Xeph's wig and his hair color is actually white.

Anyway that's enough from me for today! Time for sleep.

Just Starting

Hello world of the forgotten. I'm posting here for the first time as I make my artbook which won't be for sale as I find difficulties selling my artwork to the general public. I understand it's not the best.
